Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf is buildings are built arround a single spacious cobblestone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the city's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf's boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.
A look around Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf shows Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf as a den of corruption. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is. The city has another layer to it as well. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual, or at least, faking it.

History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf was attacked by savage tribes living nearby Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf lost 251 people, 194 livestock, and 88 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 188, when members of Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf's militia enacted an operation to liberate a particular fortification from the enemy. The operation was complicated by a trusted officer who turned traitor and defects. The conflict ended with the defense of the fortification against a siege, which ended in victory for Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Aj-ī̄on Xluwuf's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
